In heating systems, the circulation of dirty water causes premature wear and tear and damages components such as pumps and regulating valves. Furthermore, it leads to clogging in heat exchangers, radiators and pipes which in turn reduces the thermal efficiency of the heating system. The sludge strainer cuts off these impurities - which mainly consist of sand and rust particles - in a large precipitation chamber from which they may be removed even during on-going operation. This device effectively removes even the smallest particles at a very low pressure loss. 

Filters impurities and corrosion products from the heating water. Also suitable for glycol/water mixtures (50 % glycol). Filtered particles may be flushed manually during on-going operation. It is possible to mount a commercial bleeding device.
